A few weeks ago, I wrote about how I wanted to help more with making sure people are getting something everyone has a right to have… food! (You may read that post here.) I had no idea how this would come into fruition. I had a few ideas but just wasn’t sure how to implement them. Ultimately, I knew that it would come some how and guess what!? In the mail yesterday, I got a letter. When I opened it there was an invitation to donate money to Meals on Wheels!
I’ve gotten other letters in hopes to help in different ways before but never about helping to feed people in need. I was so excited! Actually, now that I’m thinking about it, I have received those blue plastic bags to donate food, however, I never seem to remember the deadline… So here I am donating money to help the elderly receive much needed food.
Do you wanna help out in this way too? GREAT!! Just click here and you can choose the amount you are open to donating to someone, or many people, in need! Right now, donating my money is the best option for me and my family. When my children get a little older, we will be volunteering time as well. Until then, I’ll keep donating my un-needed items and my money when I can.
Do you like to volunteer to help others in need? If so, what does that look like? What’s the greatest memory you have from it? If you are a volunteer, thank you for making the world a brighter place! If you haven’t, what’s holding you back? I’d love to hear your thoughts and ideas!
We’re each here to shine our light, lets light up the world!!
