Warm chocolate chips, oil, nut butter in pan over low heat stir constantly to make sure you don’t burn.
Once it’s all liquid turn off heat and add vanilla and stir. If adding peppermint do this now. Next stir in the almonds until all are coated.
In a separate bowl (I like these) add arrowroot powder and cacao and stir until well incorporated. Then add almond mixture. Carefully shake with lid on until almond pieces are evenly covered.
** warning: the brand of essential oil you use is VERY important. I only trust Young Living oils in my home. If you use another brand, please make sure there isn’t a warning on the bottle stating only for topical use. If it says this, do not use in this recipe and really you shouldn’t be using it on your skin. The skin is your largest organ and if you can’t ingest it, this means there’s something in it that is toxic which will be absorbed through the skin as well.
